Determinants of universities’ spin-off creations

The idea of entrepreneurial university seeks to boost the transfer academic knowledge firms and foster socio-economic development. main objective this paper is examine various determinants that influence universities activities. To fulfil objective, we draw our dataset from higher education business survey (HESA-BCI) conducted across United Kingdom in 2017/18 year partial least square structural equation was used. Results demonstrated funding, patents, rewards all have significant on spin off creation. results also showed patents played a mediating role towards Findings study contribute validating important factors promotes activities at as well contributing findings positive implications for researchers, entrepreneurs, management aiming exploit commercialise knowledge.
